I have made my face prosthetics, and put them on with my regular makeup for fun, but then I realised that I need the right grey/pink/yellow skin colour they have.

Because my skin tone is a pretty bright yellow/pink, I found the Ben nye frankenstein colour matched the best for my skin tone. it toned down the pink in my skin and when it is on me, it doesn't look green, it looks pretty close to what I see on the show.

Anyways, I wanted to ask anyone who has done Cardassian makeup before what they used? What did you find matched the best? As I want to do the best I can, so if there is something better out there I would love to try it smile.gif

Where you can buy it

If you have the money I would say it's worth it if you are a big startrek fan, I've made almost everything in here and I love most of it. I've even had my parents over to try and it's been a big hit every time.

The book is arranged by show and by character, Gul Dukat has 5 recipes, and Garak has 1.

I figured I would post the Cardassian related recipes, as there is very few. If this isn't okay, just let me know and I will remove it right away! smile.gif

I am going to just post one at a time and reply because i suck at formatting and it will split up the recipes.

- Under Dukat

- Tojal in Yamok Sauce

"The secret of this Cardassian appetizer is that you can eat a lot of it and still have room for your main dish, probably Zabo meat. The Cardassians skewer pieces of tojal on tiny forks and swirl it around in yamok sauce. I'm told that at the formal Cardassian dinnfers, they only stop bringing out the tojal when there's not enough yamok sauce for the zabo meat. You can use either small or medium shrimp, bowiled and devained, and serve it with a mixture of teriyaki and soy sauce as a cocktail dip. You can also use cooked lump crabmeat and even prepackaged oysters. If you're using the shrimp, I suggest you cook them in a concoction of crab boil and beer.

2 doz med shrimp, devained
2 12oz bottles beer
2 tbsp crab boil or Old Bay seasoning
6 whole cloves
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1 tbsp pickling spice

yamok sauce
1 cup teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup soy
1 tsp freash-squeezed lemon juice

Boil shrimp in beer, Old Bay or crab boil seasoning, cloves, pickling spice, and garlic for 15 minutes, when the shrimp turns pink and becomes tender. Drain and set aside.

Mix teriyaki and soy and spritz in the lemon juice.

Serve in individual cocktail glasses over ice. You can replace shrimp with raw oysters or cooked crab meat.

Serves four "

Hello!

I was wondering the internet looking for anything cardassian, as my resent unemployment has allowed me to get back into my old obsession, when I found this smile.gif I am really gald to see that there are other cardassians out there.

I watched startrek as a child, and have rewatched almost all of it. Although DS9 was always my favorite series due to a certain tailor, and the over all peeks into Cardassian culture.

I have never gone to a con or anything of that before. I have made prostectics before, for a startrek themed birthday, so hopefully 2013 will be the year of my first one.
